The Oath
By sun and by stone, by blood and by bone, I stand with the Oathbound. My word is my blade. I will not break it.
The First Oath
In the early days, when the Forsaken first came to Thunder Bluff, few in the Horde would stand beside them. The dead were not trusted, and for good reason.
But one young tauren of Mulgore looked upon a wandering Forsaken and saw not a corpse, but a soul still fighting for its own will. Before the elders, beneath An'she's light, the two swore an oath: to stand for each other when no one else would, and never to break faith with those who fought at their side.
The Oath Spreads
Word of that oath travelled. Orcs who had broken free of demon blood understood what it meant to earn back one's honour. Trolls exiled from their islands knew what it was to have no one but each other. They came, and they swore too.
What We Keep
The Horde itself was forged from outcasts who chose each other. The Oathbound keep that choice alive.
We are tauren and Forsaken, orc and troll, and it matters little which. What binds us is a promise: to show up, to stand together, and to never leave a guildmate behind.
Among us, a promise is not words. It is a blade you carry for the rest of your days.
Our word is our blade.
